Very nice looking car. Those look like the headlights/parking lights I've been looking into. Where you get them, ebay? That's the only place I've been able to find them.

I hate seeing a beautiful car like this one with its awesome color and great rims combo be ruined by the idiocy of them putting on a 350 emblem on a car that doesn't have a 350 in it!

He might as well had a screaming chicken emblem on the hood as well!

This guy has already had his ration of criticism in another post that he featured his car in, let it go already. It's a beautiful car, the color is awesome, and for once, I actually like hockey stick stripes. I guess it's because they blend in rather than stick out.

Good point. It is a great looking car. I never seem to notice the stripe until someone points it out. That's what makes it cool I think.

yeah, ive heard plenty about those badges already, so moving on... anyway, i got those blinker housings off some company on ebay. thats the only place i could find them. they fit nicely, and seal nicely as well. the stripes were custom made for me, and they are as close as you can get to the GMMG ZL1 stripes.

This argument was made previously. i cant really say why i got them. i liked the 69 emblem theme, and they are from the 69. right, its not 350, but 346 is close... most motorcycle manufacturers do the same thing on their factory bikes. most 600s and 1000s are not right on, they do alot of rounding. i personally dont get bothered by the whole thing. the general public doesnt know the difference, only us f-body guys. thats how i justify it i suppose. besides, they look sharp on there i think.

It only matters that you like how the car looks badges and all, and don't mind the critisism that may come from ones who know that its not really a 350. Beyond the badges though, I really think your car is beautiful man. I drewl over the blue every time I look at the picture. Past silver, that blue would be my next choice for a color on an F-body.

As for the turn signals, I love them as well. I found them at the same ebay company and currently have them on my Z as well. Coincedentally enough, I also have the same rims as you. I'll try to post a pic later.

Yours is the only 4th gen. Iv'e seen that I really like the hockey stick stripes on. As far as the 350 emblem, it's not the fact that it's not really a 350 (close enough) it's that it stands out a little to much. It should blend better with the car like the stripes do. What size wheels and tires are those on the back?

JoeliusZ28
09-12-2006, 11:39 AM
is that photoshopped at all? if not, what kind of wax are you using because the depth of your paint is nothing short of jaw-dropping, and that is coming from an experienced detailer. theres so much shine you hardly even see the hockey stripe! Very nice.

also about the 350 emblems...if you do anything with those, i would replace them with black vinyl emblems so they would be more subtle, but it looks fine the way it is now. amazing car man.

The wheels on the back are 18". the picture was enhanced in photoshop, but only to actually brighten the picture because it was sort of dark when i took it. the paint is really deep. it was recently repainted, and i use the mequires wax, NXT i think, or something like that..here is the picture before the enhancement..
