Crazy Questionjoey91473 11-12-2002, 11:09 PM I was up at the track a couple of weekends ago and I was talking with a guy who has a 2000 Z28, me being a newbie I was asking him about his times and all. He told me that he puts 2 moth balls in his gas tank the night prior to him running??? Has anyone ever heard of this??? I though he sounded crazy but he swore that is what he does, he had a couple of bolton mods and ran a 11.97??? mongse_1 11-13-2002, 08:50 AM Don't do it. The stuff will burn so there may be some power benefit there - and since the naphthalene mothballs are a hydrocarbon they shouldn't cause any damage to the engine. However, I have heard of mothballs containing chlorine...burning those will most likely harm the engine. red 11-13-2002, 05:34 PM I have never heard of this.
