Fiberglass boxes won't really be any lighter once they're done. After 3-6 layers material, all that resin, and bondo, it works out to roughly the same.

All depends on what you want to do and how you want it to look. Fiberglass is great for making complex shapes, curves and blending things together, whereas MDF is great for simple boxes and making the areas of a fiberglass enclosure where you won't see to save time and materials.

i actually would reccomend making the back of the box of wood and i am personally gonna make the face out of glass. itll give it a good shape and make it fit better around the edges. ill do this once i get enough time and hopefully before it gets too cold this winter.
