I'm making plans for some suspension work in the near future, and I'm looking for info on some of the organizations that put on races that cater to stock style suspension heads-up racing. I'm not necessarily looking to chase points in a series, as the car will primarily be a weekly bracket racer. But, if I get the opportunity to make 1 or 2 races, I'd like my car to be legal.
Specifically, I'd like to know about rear frame rail & wheel well modifications, as well as tire width rules. What I'm trying to accomplish is a lowered stance with the tires tucked inside the wheel openings. To do this is going to require installing inner wheel tubs, or modifying the stock ones, along with some work to the frame rails.
Another concern I have is the dash...... The car will maintain the full interior, including the dash, console, etc, but I'd like to replace the gauge cluster with some aftermarket stuff. I wasn't sure if the common stock interior rules required that the factory gauges remain intact.
Thanks in advance for any links or information.
