This guy I work with has an 04' stage 1 roush, he paid 42,000 grand for the car. He has been talkin trash for the past year. I finally took him to the track in my 98 beat up ass Z28 with 143,xxx miles on it, and only 7 new spark plugs in it...lol  when we raced I ran my worst time of the night (9.1x) in an 1/8 mile.... he ran his best (9.5x) So now everybody is ragging on him and his 42 grand car....:D .....just wanted to share...

no they are v8. body kits, and some options kinda like saleen did. side pipes were an option (or still are) nothing special unless f.i thrown on.

8.87 x 1.55 = 13.7 in the 1/4 but thats an estimate of course...

That is sad, my stock Mark VIII ran a 9.5 in the 1/8th all stock, 3.07 open rear, 4236 weight on the scales with me in it. And why would anyone pay $42,000 for a car with no power mods?

I can't speak for this guy but some people pay a lot/put a lot of $$$ in their vehicle because they consider performance to be more than a function of raw horse-power and 1/4 mile times.
Horse-power is great and I'll take all I can get but it's not all there is. :D

St 1 are basickly Gt's with body kit, exhaust, suspension, and brakes. It really is'nt much faster than a gt.
Most of those types of cars are overpriced for the performance but with the price you get exclusivity of owning a limited edition/special model.
2002 35th anniversary ss,collectors edition T/A does'nt perform any bit better that a regular 2002 SS,T/A but the anni/collector sells for more new,now and will be more valuable down the road than a regular SS,T/A.

Roush is a nice looking car but lacks the power.
