Can anyone tell me where this wire goes?

I was replacing my leaking radiator (1994 Z28)this morning and when I was finished I noticed a black wire that had nowhere to go. It comes out of the harness in the same place as the wires to the fan at the left front frame rail. It looks like it may just be a ground wire, these is just the remains of a crimp on the end. Evrything seems to work.
Anyone have an idea?

There is normally a ground wire attached to the radiator support above the headlights on each side. Is it that?

Shoebox, thanks for the fast replay! Both ground wires are there, one over each side. Is it possible there were 2 ground wires on the left side?
