Hey guys, we're going to have a long weekend coming up pretty soon and my wife and I are trying to think of a nice place to spend a long weekend at. We're looking at anything within a 5 hour drive of Orlando(less is better). Someplace scenic with stuff to do, but not a party scene. We just want to go and relax and be able to do stuff while we're there. We are thinking about Sanibel Island as one choice, though I don't know a whole lot about it.
Anyone have any suggestions. A nice B&B would be cool as long as it's not too old fashioned(I've heard some odd stories). Any idea's would be greatly appreciated!

Not the cheapest, but Jekyll Island, Georgia? They have a fantastic sunday brunch, and is very nice. There is some kind of water park on the island, and plenty to loaf around and do. I have taken my wife a couple of times for brunch. It is only a 50 minute fight. Probably 4 hours from Orlando.

I just came back from Daytona Beach it was ok, got a nice clean hotel(not the ritz but had indoor hallways) for $70 a night right on the beach looking at the beach. Not much to do in the off season, but we planned on just beaching it most the time anyways. Wnet out to eat at a few cool beachy type restaraunts, drank a bit. Checked out the Ponce inlet lighthouse. All in all ok weekend.(well not a weekend but 3-day trip in the middle of the week, I work weekends)
St. augustine looks cool, we got a pamplet on some ghost tours, those would be cool to check out. I considered looking into it with the girlfriend. But we REALLY want ot hit up a log cabin in NC, that might be our next big trip.
Though we are stalling because her parents are really consideirng buying a 2nd house up their, which we could stay at instead.
