I know the Corvette, XLR, and Grand Prix have Heads up Displays, but what other models do? Both from GM and other makes.

 

I saw a video the other day of a BMW I think somewhere in the 5 to 7 range series and it had a nice HUD setup.

 

Rendezvous has one, believe it or not...

Yeah, my '03 Rendezvous has HUD, adjustable to driver height, radio display, as well as turn signals and any alerts..

 

Hopefully the Camaro will be added to that list.

 

Caddy DTS, plus the upcoming GMC Acadia as well...

I really enjoy the HUD on my 04 Prix.

 

It's a great feature, and I agree more cars should have it. It only cost about $350 on my old Grand Prix, quite a deal at that price.

My Dad's 05 LeSabre has the HUD. He likes it a lot. He's almost 80 so I don't know how much longer he will be driving, but I'm glad he has been able to experience such a futuristic feature.

 

y would a camaro need hud? to make it more expenisve? or to weigh it down more? or the fact that people couldnt drive with out it for decades before.

 

It needs a HUD for the same reason a Vette does. It doesn't, but it's nice.

And I'm sure if it did, it would be optional... so when you get your, obivously, 'necessities only' stripped down Camaro with manual locks and crank windows... the rest of us will have a cool little fighter cockpit in our camaros.

 

yes since im moving to va i have decided to buy a 5th gen. actually i probly will by a plain jane model v8 becuase im a poor bastered. but i find hud to just be the stupidest thing i ever seen. power windows i can understand its sorta hard to reach across the car to roll down the windows and power door locks are nice with the key fob becuase well u cant lock your keys in ur car (i swear i only did it once). but i mean all u have to do is look down a little and ur gages are right there.

 

Well, if you would learn how to spell and puntuate your posts it would make them a whole lot easier to read, but in my opinion of the 5th gen comes with those stupid console ancillary gauges, I hope the car comes standard with a HUD. How much weight could a HUD possibly add?

any way back on topic this isnt a luxury car its supposed to be a muscle car im sorry I honestly feel that if u want luxury items go buy something like a Cadillac cts-v.

why would u hope it came standard with HUD? To drive the price of the car up? Or to just be an *** cause u didn’t like what I said?

How much could HUD weigh? Well to be honest I have no clue but I cant imagine it being light. You have to add the weight of the part that projects it on the screen and wiring and computer.

But even if its still an option it will drive the price of the models up with out it. Sort of like why the camaro will most likely have standard power windows and door locks if you read the q&a about the 5th gen


im actually shocked at how cheap it is. Head-Up Display, EyeCue, includes digital readout for speedometer and indicators for turn signals, hi-beam and check gauges $350.00

I also want to state that I find it highly unlikely that it will have this option as I noticed the cts-v didn’t have it nor the gto or the grand prix


I personally like the consol gages but I find it highly unlikely that they will make it to production. I think it gives that car a little bit of uniqueness . I mean why would I want to get in the camaro and feel like im siting in an impala or a Monty carlo..
