quick power/amp ?

ok it's kind of hard to word this so bare with me.

ok say i have one sub, lets just say its a dual 4 ohm 300w rms sub
and i have an amp that put out say 400 rms at 4ohms
that amp will have no problem powering that sub im guessing BUT
say that i add another sub same everything
would it take the same amout of power to run both of these subs if i wired them with a 4 ohm load?

I'm not sure exactly what it is you're asking but I can tell you this...

If your sub has dual 4ohm voice coils you can either wire them together in parallel for a 2ohm load or in series for an 8ohm load. Neither of which is optimal for the 400W amp. What you would need is a sub with dual 2ohm voice coils ran in series for a 4ohm final load or a sub with dual 8ohm voice coils ran in parallel for a final 4ohm load.

If you want to add a second sub to that same amp you would need subs with single 8ohm voice coils wired in parallel for a 4ohm load or single 2ohm voice coils ran in series for a 4ohm final load. You could also use subs with dual 4ohm voice coils. In that case you would need to wire the voice coils of each sub in series making each sub 8ohms, and then wire the subs in parallel for a final 4ohm load. In this situation the 400W from the amp would get divided equally bewteen the total number of voice coils. So you would have 100W going to each voice coil.
