I'll be heading East on Rt 80 if anyone wants to meet up somewhere? Bow94z 08-07-2006, 10:57 AM i'll be there, still thinking about racing or not...im worried about my clutch, lets out near the top and a bit chattery, its death is in the near future and i dont wanna be an hour and half away from home when that happens..maybe i'll get my cousins trailer again...hmmmm i'll be there nonetheless:thumb: 97TransAm 08-07-2006, 11:02 AM ME!!! I'll be the show car on the race track... makes the judges job a b!tch. greatsave9 08-07-2006, 11:02 AM As of right now I got nothing else to do on that 20th so I'll be there to spectate and take pix. Projectz28 08-07-2006, 03:41 PM I'm up in the air right now. As of last night i am working in NYC for Con Edison and the local Cat dealer with all the power probelms thruought Manhattan and Queens. I'm here till the 11th basically working 24 hrs on 8 hrs off. I am on vacation from the 11th to the 19th and I will be in Wildwood. If they dont have the mess up here fixed by then I am pretty sure I will be heading back up here on the 20th. 97TransAm 08-07-2006, 04:03 PM Mod-father... I hope they get the mess straighten. Isn't there any "wiseguys" you can send up there to "take care of business"? Projectz28 08-08-2006, 10:26 PM I only wish... when you want something done right you gotta do it yourself. its a total mess up here. I worked 34 hrs straight from yesterday morning to today. I just woke up from a 4.5 hr break. Basically took a shower and slept in a bed for a few hrs. I am off to work again now. Queens is a mess, there are generators jujst sitting on every other street corner with cables run down into the man holes and powering up different building. The utility main cables are all but destroyed and most of the streets must be dug up to replace the feeders. Its been going on for almost 3 weeks now. I am just up here to help the local Cat dealer. They have techs stationed all over the place and everything must be manned 24/7 to monitor fuel and install/remove gens ans Con Edison needs them. The main Command center at the Con Ed generating plant in Queens has been under a lot of stress with the heat and storms. Its a slow process but it has to be done. Many customers around here were out of power for up to 8 days and now most of them are running on generators. As Con Ed repairs cables they take the gens off line and stage them at their plant. Its alot of hours but its pretty easy work. Most of the time I am just sitting and watching generators run for hours on end. Boring but I already have 17 hrs of double time today and I am going back out on OT right now... | ||
