97TransAm 07-30-2006, 10:13 PM Ironic that a 97 Trans Am spends sooo much time on a camaro board.
Truth be told, I can trace my "adventures" (or downfall) through this very board. From the initial "how do I fix my window switch" with Brent Franker, the being schooled on the science of staging and then BRAKING so as not to break out by Jim "Kazman", the forever patient and LT1 mechanical assistance of John "PamperedZ", the introduction to a local dyno by Scott "myslowcamaro", fellow Zaino and DE nut Ed "99 SS", to even the new school of Ryan "bow94z", and mod-me-downs from Brian "Projectz28" who for some reason has taken a liken to me enough to bring me from a 14.2 car to a 12 second car.... and everyone else that I have crossed paths here with, my enternal gratitude for the camaraderie that this board is, and putting up with some of my "stupid crap".
You all cannot fathom how much this board is a "center" for me, but suffice to say, the 97TA would never ever be what it is today without the start that this board has given me and the car.
Much thanks to Camaroz28.com  ,
ron
(okay, now everyone else can now chime in on how this board is meanigful to them.. :) )
Mitch666 07-30-2006, 11:22 PM I remember when I first joined, I knew nothing about cars, I just wanted a z28 cause my dad had one, so I got a v6 then v8. Now Im stuck with this expedition that I want to sell lol, so I can get an ls1 or maybe even an lt1, but I dunno.
Bow94z 07-31-2006, 12:01 AM Time flies..it's been over 4yrs since i bought my car (5/02), joined the board and learned so much about F-Bodies. Cool meeting some of the guys on here and going to the track.
Watching Scott's (myslowcamaro)'s car drop a full second from a gear swap was quite impressive, Ron with his consistant runs at E-town,and you cant forget the impressive shine from Zaino which Ed all introduced us to:bow:
and greatsave9 shooting some very professional pics
:cz28: RULES:bow:
Pampered-Z 07-31-2006, 08:21 AM I have to agree I've made many friends on this board and without it I would have never met 90% of them! Being a gear head and racer since the 60s, and having a wife and two daughters that only care about shopping finding others in the areas with my interest has saved me many hours of theropy!
And we've sure had some real fun over the years:
Meeting NJSPeeder at Ground Round and end up buying his rims, The infamous Turnpike Screaming incedent, Pinics with 2-Speed chick's world famus taco dip, Brian's now historic "burnout in the park". Meeting Steve to pick up a trans blanket, end up leaving the car with him to install a rollcage and becoming very good friends! Meeting N2O Dave, ending up with a blower. ( HUM, Ever time I meet some one I get a mod???) Countless weekends at the tracks ( guess I gotta include MY FREAKEN RED LIGHT! against a certain person!) And lately the install parties and our pissing off the locals at ****z! - Hold the bacon!
'99 SS 07-31-2006, 08:42 AM Just to add my 2 cents, I owe a "Thank You" to both my SS, and camaroz28.com. :thumb:
Owning the SS has led me to this board, as well as some exceptionally cool events, which in turn has led to friendships will fellow fbody "nuts" such as myself. :D
So, to all of you who I've met in person and who I consider friends, a BIG Thank You!

 good one
97TransAm 07-31-2006, 10:57 AM Brian's now historic "burnout in the park".
 I never tire of either telling or hearing that story. It's like the Blues Brother's Movie... you know where it's going... but it's still freakin funny everytime.
guess I gotta include MY FREAKEN RED LIGHT! against a certain person! Oh, com'on man! Now that your car is running again after all these years, we can do a grudge match and get this behind us... maybe. Bahahaha  (Now I'm setting myself up to be "Learned..." )
TERRELL OWENS SAYS: "this is a low class organization, didnt celebrate rons 1000th post! " That's okay... we can have a party / celebration tomorrow evening. I'll still give everyone that shows tomorrow at Goodnoe's a "Summit" sticker. And we can play "stick the big Crane Cam sticker on Ed's meticulous SS" (like pin the tail on the donkey). All contestants in this game must be able to sprint faster than Ed to their already running vehicle. Bahahahaha.

I dont think it would stick anyway with a thousand coats of zaino on there:D
'99 SS 07-31-2006, 02:23 PM Now c'mon Ron & Ryan, I'm not that bad, re; coats of Zaino! ;)
As for anyone outrunning me on foot, that'd be pretty easy. It's too damn hot to run anywhere!
Projectz28 08-02-2006, 07:15 PM ummm yeah I got a few stories to tell that originated from this board.
The burnout in the park was a good one but I have more.
Who remembers the Ground Round meet where we took over the TV's in the bar and played drag race movies. And the infamous 5 min long movie of crazy John doing the biggest burnout any of us have ever seen. (I still have that tape here somewhere).
The days of the 25+ car carravans to E-town or Valley Forge. One of which I actually organized;)
The first time I meet Tim I thought this guy is nuts for taking that much weight out of his car... now all I can do is wish I listened to him then.
Ron has benifitted from my trials and many, many errors... I build it then sell it to Ron!
John helps him put it in:D
My new motor is at the machine shop today because of Jackie and Rick.
Got a top notch trans from Frank.
I could go on all day with the connections that liks me to this board....
Meet a lot of people who I call friends now.
When I first came to this board I was living with my parents and thought I had a fast Camaro. Now I am married have my own house with my little version of the "Garage Mahal" built out back. A kid on the way, a car I can no longer drive on the street because uts just too tempting. A wife who wouldnt dare ride in that car if it was the last car on earth... and a bank account that revolves around "how much money can I spare for the car?"
Somwhere along the line I realized I have averaged 1.5 posts per day for the past 6 years....
Its definately a place to call home.
97TransAm 08-02-2006, 08:23 PM Ron has benifitted from my trials and many, many errors... I build it then sell it to Ron!
Brian is MY FRIEND!!!! I like Brain very very much. LMAO
Bahahahaha

I use to wait in the breakdown section just after the Fort Washington exit and wait for the "Great Chain" coming over the hill... sometimes led by a red camaro. ;)
The first time I meet Tim I thought this guy is nuts for taking that much weight out of his car... now all I can do is wish I listened to him then. Tim is evil! I'm still avoiding him!
Got a top notch trans from Frank. Word is on the street that it be in the 97 TA in two years. RFLMAO
