anyone want to have a meet before summers over?

in south east PA specifically. I was thinking valley forge park would be a nice place. Theres plenty of parking lots to use and its a great place to drive around. Just watch out for the deer at night. But yeah i was thinkin some kinda BBQ or something. It could happen at Valley Forge or any other place.

I just hope no bad boys show up in those dang obnoxiously loud noisey cars and get us in trouble with the Park Rangers.

so is there an interest here? I could get my jeep buddy to come with a grill and we can have some fun. If theres interest ill go over there and talk to the people at the welcome center so that we know whats good whats not and we wont get bothered at all.

I wouldn't bother with that, the rangers usually find a reason to come around and harass us anyway :rolleyes:

thats weird because i have never been harassed. To tell you the truth i havent even seen any rangers this summer. nj87ttype, dont feel left out i dont know anyone here either thats why im setting this up. and hawk if you can bring some sure ill try to bring some too. by the way how old is everyone around here im feelin the sense that im the only youngin

Once something is set there will probably be quite a few people interested in coming. I've been to Valley Forge for three or four F-Body meets already, it's a nice place to meet and convenient for a lot of people here.

thats good because most of the meets that are going on a pastreetracing are all in stroudsburg. Im looking to finally meet another F-body person so i figured ill set up the meet and have my friend bring his jeep because he can carry a grill in it.

It's not just the cars it's the people. I've met jacka$$es in both import cars and American muscle, so as long as the people are cool, everyone should be welcome.

This is something that my buddy had setup a few weeks ago. Its Saturday Aug. 5. We are meeting at the Broomall fire house which is about 2 min from the Blue Route. We are going to be meeting there at 3 o'clock, the cruise is at 4:30, and after that he is inviting everybody back to his house for a BBQ. The meet is open to all american muscle cars.

well ill probly go to one of the montgomery mall meets, im on vacation for the muscle car cruise, and its kinda too short notice to go to the dyno bbq. I wanna meet up with some people tho.

They have tuesday night meets at the Golds Gym in Oaks. While there are some ****ty cars and some normal cars.. there are some SICK cars there. www.millaracing.com for more info

..and my house is 2 minutes from Hooters in King of Prussia. Inground pool, huge grill and plenty of parking. And Frosty Falls Ice Cream store is in town on the river and is also a nice place to hang out with the cars.

I'd love to do a VF meet again. We used to do them 2-3 times a year and had huge turnouts' 40-50 cars at some of them. If you want to set up something I will try to make it... driving the Yukon of coure

You will never please every one but if you plan a date well in advance like end of Sept you will be more likely to get people to come.

If you guys can decide on a date I'll sticky it and we can make an official SJ/SEPA meet.

Yep, best bet is to "schedule" two weekends out, just try to avoid any of the nearby track events that may be a big attraction, hope for nice weather... and see what happens. They either do or they don't. But if they are planned out far enough in advance, it gives time for people to build a caravan. :D

For VF, I'm open anytime after 8/14/06 through 9/13/06.

And if anyone is up for an imprompto get together, this friday evening would be fun. We could do Hooters, then head to Champs for drinks on the patio, or head back to the house for a cool dip in the pool. Or just hang out at the house and tip a few back. I leave Satuday afternoon for St Louis, so Friday after work is all I have open until I return on the 14th.

I'd be up for doing something but I'm a little limited on how far I can really go with the SS396. If you keep it closer to the eastern PA/NJ area I'd be in. VF is pushing it a little farther than I would like to go with the car this summer. Newtown would work for me if anyone is up for a Tyler Park meet.

Maybe we could set something up for Labor Day Monday? We're planning a Gettysburg Battlefield cruise for that Sunday, maybe we could meet at VF on the holiday.

Personally I don't like drinking and driving the 97 TA anyways. Doesn't mix to well with occasional bouts of "road rage" on the turnpike. ;)

You guys with these newfangle modern cars should have no problem driving to Tyler Park in Newtown. ;) Oh well, if you guys decide to meet somewhere closer to NJ then I might be in.
