black rims with my silver camaro?

What do you think? I have chrome rims now but I want to get some 315 tires so I need to get some 11 inch wide rims and was looking at the AFS Black ZR-1. Think it will look good? Also would it be a good idea to have some type of black stripes on my car to help bring out the black rims?

I never liked the black wheels,if I were you I would stick with chrome ones:)

Its up to you, people either love or hate black rims. I personally love them on just about any color car too.

Personally, I hate the way black rims look on F-bodies. Especially on a light colored one.

I have a silver Z as well, and IMO the best wheels are silver ones for a silver Z.

Now, having said all this, it is your car man. When it comes down to it, it only matters if YOU like it or not, no matter how some people might praise you on the look of them, or how some others might tell you that it looks ugly.

I think it depends on to whole color scheme of the vehicle... Some look good with black wheels and some dont.....

Try to find pics of other cars with the same color, or close to yours....:)

Imo black wheels usually only look good on darker colored cars.

This car doesn't look good. (To me :) )

I have a silver LT1 and I just ordered black ZR-1's. They haven't come in yet though. The salad shooters currently on the car are also black. I think lighter cars look good with black rims and darker cars look good in chrome. I'm not a big fan of plain silver wheels or anything. If mine come in soon I'll put pics up so you can get a good idea of what yours will look like, my cars a 95.

By the way, the rims are for sale, since I sold the car...that hood is gross.

That hood is the WS9 outlaw hood. Has a taller WS6 ram air section by about 2" and it has the firehawk heat extractors.

I love chrome wheels but on your silver car I think black would be wicked!

my friend is thinkin about doin it....i totally agree ecspecially with the SS hood and u paint the scoop black to match the wheels....looks sickening....

Agreed they look horrible. Stay away from TT II's and ZR1's because everyone has those now.

guess that's one way you can get a different look with your car is do something most camaro enthusiasts don't like...no matter how GOOD it looks

black rims look the best on silver cars IMO

I'm not really liking that T/A with those specific black wheels but to each his own. Here is an LT1 powered Silver Z28 with ZR-1 - wheels (basically what you want to do) that looks awesome! :bow: Also, are your windows tinted? That'd help with the look of black wheels on it.

i vote for black on silver

I like black on silver too.

You have silver as a main color you need to break it up with some other color and black is a very good universal color. You should get black inserts for the back too.
