hard to tell if those are really GXP's or not, but the sky's are certainly redlines because the redlines have darker headlight bezels. for contrast, the 3ed sky back is a regular sky with the regular headlight bezels and the other 3 are redlines with the darker bezel.

does this mean they might be hitting the streets pretty soon?

It's just amazing to me how much better the Sky RL looks than the Solstice GXP. Just my opinion but seeing them right next to each other like that reminded me...

I'd love to trade the fiance's Ion Redline in on a Sky Redline, but seeing as they suffer 50% depreciation in the first year of ownership, that wont be happening soon. I hope the sky fairs better in the used car market.

Those are definitely GXP's, they have the grill area right around the directionals/fog lamps and the small lip/grill at the bottom of the nose.

Both are hot but I'd have to say, I definitely prefer the Sky Redline. That car is just beautiful.

I'm even more tempted to purchase my first Saturn.

I prefer the Skys too.

That's not to say my head doesn't snap around when I see a Solstice drive by.

Sky definitely has a more modern look, but given a choice I would be hard pressed between the two models. Solstice has something classy about it, while still modern. Both cars turn my head.

[waiting to hear how much Redline will cost here...]

IIRC it was just under $28k and fairly nicely equipped

Demand is high for these cars and production is limited. I expect the the Turbo cars to hold value better tha the N/A, and the N/A versions are expected to be very good.

I'd probably take the Sky over the Solstice, but I think they both look awesome. Just the kind of styling GM needs.

there have been a few people who have turned a profit by purchasing a sky and then selling it used because they are so hard to get in some places.

its not common, but i've seen it more than once on the saturn forums.

Did they improve the braking? The only thing I did not like about reading about the normal sky's, is the the braking was significantly longre than the equivalent Solstice.

That and my pet peeve of having no luggage space when the top is down.. How is the wife and I suppose to go for a weekend trip then? Sigh.

It is now. We'll see how much staying power they have a year from now. I agree with you, though, and think they will hold their value very well. The saturn badge just has such a stigma. But then again, so does the mitsubishi badge and my Evo only depreciated 30% over 3 years.

I prefer the exterier of the SKY, but the gauges are a horrible design (check out saturn's website). I would buy the solstice.

We are still #1 on our list at the dealer, but not sure whether to take the car, drive it for a while, and sell it, seeing as how we can probably sell it without a loss... or just get off of #1 spot...
