I have an 99 camaro v6. The ac system didn't work when we got the car, i finally decided to get it working. AC compressor was making noises and would not engage, figured the clutch was bad. I had tried recharging the the system using the port on the canister, gauge read full but still wouldn't activate the compressor. I just replace the compressor with a new one. There was no pressure in the line connected to the compressor. After insatlling I starting the engine and tried to charge the system. I was still showing pressure on the port even though there was none in the line and the compressor still won't kick on.
