im looking to put torque thrust 2 wheels on my car. i want to keep the stock size in the front (275/40/17) and fit 315/30/18's on the rear
i need to know what all the measurements i will need are, like bolt pattern, offset and how wide of a wheel i need to buy to put on 315 tires (10"?)
if anyone knows of a place where i can find torque thrust 2's in 18"s that would be helpful as well so far the biggest i have located is 17x9.5
many thanks for any help

i didn't think they made TT2s in 18"
as for backspacing...i think 55mm is what you want

315's are 12.4" wide, and usually mounted on 11" wide wheels.
The widest 18" TT2's are 10" wide. I wouldn't recommend putting a 315/30 on an 18x10, but it's probably doable. Ask around at your local tire shops and see if they'd be willing to do it.
Go here (http://www.americanracing.com/dealerlocator/index.asp?section=dlr) to find American Racing dealers near you.
Your bolt pattern is 5x4.75", aka 5x120.65mm.

We have a "wheels and tires" forum for questions like this. Many of the issues you raised are addressed on that forum, in an "FAQ" stickied to the top of the page. I'll move your post where it belongs......
A 275/40-17 generally works best on a 17x9.5" wheel, with offsets in the range of 45-56mm. (Note that 56mm is the offset, not the backspace). The TT II 17x9.5's come in 44mm or 45mm offset, which is what you want.
To determine the width of the wheel required for a specific tire size, go to a site like Tire Rack, enter that size, and look at the "specs" section for the manufacturer you prefer. The specs will tell you the recommended wheel width for the tire. Most manufacturers recommend a width of 10.5" - 11.5" for the 315/30-18. If you put it on a 10.0" wheel, it may look a little "bulgey" and the tread contact patch might not sit perfectly flat, bowing out in the center. But whether its that big an issue on a 1/2" too narrow tire is open to debate.
Most 315/30-18's have a 12.6" section width, and you may have to address the issues outlined in the FAQ for fitting 315/35-17's on the car, depending on the offset of the wheel.
You need a 5 X 4.75" (120.65mm) bolt pattern.
the 18s are usually custom order
