I have a schneider custom grind that was picked out for my car:
236/246 @.5 600 lift w/ 1.6 rr

I am running the D1 w/ 6# boost, and am wondering if my cam is really huritng me. The car shifts at 6,700 rpm. It sounds so nasty at idle, but I wonder what everybody else thinks about the specs. By the way, my heads have 2.08/1.65 valves, Victor Jr race ported and modified for an LT1.

As long as the cam is a 112 to 114 LSA it sounds like a good cam for your combo. I dont think it is hurting you.

Just curious why such low boost with a D1 ??? Do you have it set up that way intentionally ??

Yes, I dont have a cage, and am right there on needing one. But, I really do want to get up to 12 # and see what happens. I would be real happy with a 10.XX at my altitude!

I think it has a good chance if I got the boost up there. My best run was with alky setup spraying and I think it hurt me a little with such low boost. It will probably next year to try, baby on the way soon!!!!
