Can anyone answer me a few CTS ?'s
Can anyone answer me a few CTS ?'s
First- When will 07 production begin? Will there be any special options, lower prices, anything else to round out the last year for the current model?
Second- when will the new 08 hit the streets... give an educated guess here for me?
Third- how long after the new 08 hits the streets will the new V car be out? (guessing about a year) How about price, are prices for these cars going to be pretty much the same as the current cars?
My brother and I were going to get a Saturn Sky Redline, and have been #1 on the dealerships list for about 2 months now, with about 2-3 months to go... but he has decided to sell his 2000 SS while it is still worth something, and he wants a CTS-V... So I am not going to tell him no, I don't want my money going in that car
Any Insight, please let me know!!

Re: Can anyone answer me a few CTS ?'s
The 2008 CTS is scheduled for an SOP date in July of 2007. However I've heard a few rumors lately that the date may have been changed. Dont have any info on that solid enough to post though. Your guess about the timing for the next gen CTSv is probably about right.

Re: Can anyone answer me a few CTS ?'s
Chris, have you heard anything on the size of the car changing (to be based on the wider AWD Sigma chassis)?
I don't really believe GM would spring for it, and the CTS has been successful as is, but since we're on the subject and it's also been in the rumor mill for awhile......

Re: Can anyone answer me a few CTS ?'s
I have a question on the CTS - any plans for a convertible coupe model? If so or if not, what about a panoramic roof?
Changed forward or backward?

SOP cannot be verified because, well...there's conflicting information. There is no definite SOP date, or month. At all.

I'm wondering will there be a V8 model that is not a V-series, say a LS2 or something like that? I figure there is suppose to be 2 V6s and then the V8 V-series, but is there a rumor of any other engine options?

We'll see the sedan, then the coupe, then the vert later.

Re: Can anyone answer me a few CTS ?'s
I was looking through dealer inventory around my area and all of them are 06 still, but in LA there are some 07's...
Basically I ask because if the 07's are going to be on lots I am hoping to find 3-4k off of MSRP on an 06 somewhere... 3.9%APR is a hell of a deal though on them.

What about a shorter, narrower, lighter CTS aimed at the 330i/C350 - sized car?
Where I live, AWD is useless, but a narrower, shorter car is very useful, because you can park in tight parking spaces and still get out of the car without being a contortionist. It's sort of the opposite of suburban Detroit, which has plenty of parking and lots of winter snow.
They need to locate some of these CTS decision makers in west Los Angeles (which has tighter parking than where I live) and then see what kinds of cars they come up with.
