That is pretty cool.

Though some of those people who comment at the end of those articles are complete morons and have no idea what they are talking about.

What isn't fair is that just because Leno is a celeb, GM will probably let him get one of the first models. And us average Joes will have to wait.
Oh well...at least he knows about cars, and doesn't only drive them like some folks.

What gets me about that man is how he has his show and RARELY talks about cars.

Sometimes he does, but man....it must be hard for him.

Nothing wrong with that. What better way to get publicity and drum up more interest than a "celebrity car guy" being seen driving the production model?

I haven't seen these pictures of him driving it on TV, or in the newspaper. It's only been "seen" by car guys following the Camaro step by step. So it hasn't really gotten publicity for it.

BTW, where are you getting "production model" from?

Nope, neither have I.

I was responding to your post about it not being fair if he were to get one of the first ones (When and IF they produce them), which would be a "production model" as opposed to the concept. If that were happen, GM could probably use it to get some free publicity even if it were to be only in car "enthusiast" venues (magazines, web, even if he were to mention it in his Popular Mechanics column).

Sorry about that, I thought I made myself clear in my original post.

He's sitting too upright. I never sit that upright in a car. I think people are worrying about the headroom too much. If someone wants to sit up like it's a sedan, they should get a sedan... A sporty car's seating should be slightly laid back imo.

I think that is the first time I have seen the word Camaro on the under side of the hood. Pretty sharp.

I wouldn't worry too much about the head room guys, something tells me it won't be "chopped" like that.

That's part of what I (and I'm sure others) worry about. Without the 'chopped' look, this car will not be nearly as interesting.

And, again, if people didn't sit in their Camaro like it's a sedan or SUV, I doubt there would be any problem whatsoever with headroom. It's already been mentioned the seats themselves will be lowered (have you noticed how high they sit?) some. I can't see needing to actually change the roofline if they can lower the seat a couple inches.

I've heard complaints about the 4th Gen Camaro's headroom. I'm 6' and had PLENTY of headroom in my '02.

The more I read of what will 'probably' change on the Camaro, the more I think I'll be looking for something else when I go for a new car. When first introduced they made it out that the vehicle as it was, is very nearly what would/could be put into production (mainly the side mirrors and wheel sizes would change and I hoped the interior), but as time progresses more and more seems to have to be altered.

Concept cars do tend to be toned down when put into actual production, but no other concept (in recent times) has gotten the response/publicity this one has. If they are planning any changes that could possibly alter the car by much at all, they need to stop giving it so much publicity. The public has fallen in love with the look of the Camaro Concept. GM would be wise to keep that in mind. I know I, for one, will pass on a new Camaro if it looks much different than the concept... If they'd brought out an overly retro Camaro I'd have had no interest, if they bring something out that doesn't have the super-strong look/presence of the concept my interest will be non-existant as well.
