Antifreeze

alright on my 3.8 it sais to use "Dex-Cool" antifreeze coolant and dumb me didnt see that until after i put regular Prestone antifreez anyway, i just want to know what "Dex Cool" is they are talking about and if me putting regular antifreeze in it is harming it and what it could do..?

yea, i would definately flush it immediately the 2 dont mix well together.

Yes, flush the snot out of it, and use the new Prestone universal. The Dex Cool is GM's pink stuff that is not all GM cracked it up to be....

well the stuff i used sais you can use it with ANY vehicle and any other color antifreeze...?

thats what i was thinking becausei havent had any problems at all with it... doesnt run rough, doesnt over heat... runs perfect.. on the other hand.. what chevy doesnt!!!.. :D

Don't bother flushing it.

The point of Dex Cool is to change coolant every 5 years instead of 1 or 2 with the green stuff.

They are both Ethelyne Glycol and totally interchangeable otherwise.

Next time you flush the system out (in 2 years) go back to Dex-Cool and you'll be set for 5 more years after that. :)
