9 inch moser housing, ford center section, 3 channel, 4 channel, and more questions?

First off sorry about the million questions I am about to ask and thanks for any help you can give, alot of these I have searched and read already but I guess I'm trying to get a clearer answer.

I have a 96 z28 and I am really thinking about getting me the 9 inch moser housing and axle package with a ford center section?

Would there be in troubles in using the ford center section?

Doesn't 3 channel or 4 channel have someting to do with abs and traction control, what is the differences?

Also if I do have 3 channel can I use the 4 channel, and if I can't use the 4 channel can I just delete the abs and traction control.

Also what torque arm do you recommend me use for the 9 inch moser?

Does anyone know what the length of the driveshaft needs to be or does that some how vary?

I run the ford 9 inch, with the 35 spline axles, and the detroit locker. Simple installation, just need to make some adapters for your sway bar, or you can buy them now. Moser may have the stuff necessary to hook your abs up, but back when I installed mine they did'nt. So I just don't use the abs, you'll need to contact moser and ask. I would recommend running a 31 spline axle so that you will have more options as to what posi unit you want to run. I went with the Detroit locker because I race the car, but on the street it is a love or hate it. As to the strenght of the 9 inch, I launch it at 5 grand on hoosier slicks for quite a while, years, and never had an issue. Oh I use Sponh torque bar and drive shaft loop, lower control arms, panhard bar and their drag racing sway bar. Really some beautiful workmanship, really a shame to hide it under the car. Kevin

The search function will get you more detailed answers but.. short answer

If you have TCS, you have 4 channel ABS, which will work w/ a 9" rear end. If you do not have TCS, you have 3 channel ABS which will not work with the 4 channel in the 9", so you will have to remove your ABS. Some people have attempted to rig the 4 channel into the 3 channel, but their results are iffy.

There are different torque arms available for the 9". Sphoon, BMR, and Umi are among the popular ones.

Measure the driveshaft length after you install the rear end. Search the boards and you will find the proper way to measure your driveshaft length
