Black salad shooters, black tail panel on Quasar Blue w/ taillight tint

This is a Quasar blue camaro that I have darkened everything out that I can...inexpensively in attempts to save money. I could not find a post that included photos of a Quasar blue camaro w/ the Berger black tail panel---especially w/ taillight covers, or with a car that had painted the salad shooters black...so now if someone wants to know what it looks like, they can see for themselves. I don't like the rims, but its better than the alloy silver that was there before.

Everything looks good except for the wheels. When you paint wheels like that, it makes your car look like a beater IMO.

yeah I definitely should've shine'd em up a bit. I had just got done painting them and brought them into the light for these photos. The tires are clean, thats just residual dust from the primer and sanding. I'll prob clean em up and repost! I just want people to see if this is something they would like to do to their car w/out having to do it like I did.

Black salad shooters = wrong. Certain wheels look awesome painted black; those don't.

I left the center caps unpainted at first, but it looked real undone-esp since nothing else on that car is silver anymore (door locks included). I then went and painted all but the black center w/ the camaro in silver...still no good. Only way to make these rims better is to lose em all together. By painting them this way, at least people can't tell its the salad shooters until they are on top of it! I appreciate the feedback/opinions and no worries, this is not a permanent appearance mod.

i agree i like it for a cheap mod for those tough times in between purchusing rims lol but i wouldn't keep it it looks like a redneck thing IMO but i like it....i would of tried painting the center caps blue.....just an idea....i love the color scheme once u get nice REAL black rims w/chrome lip ur car would look wayyy better....

Its not so bad, but I would have at least put some tire shine on before the photo shoot.

I think I'd be likin the black salad shooters a bit more if the lip and/or the center cap was chrome...

I took another pic this afternoon after I washed off the tires...I have yet to armor-all em but this is at least a better photo than before.

Anyone have any good recommendations for brands of tire shine?

Looks good except the wheels, maybe you should have left the outer rim of the wheel & centercap silver? I think I saw someone a couple months ago post on painting salad shooters that way. Im in the process of trying to decide which way to go, so this helps out seeing as your car almost looks identical to mine! I'm thinking of going on the clear/white/chrome version instead of the dark/black, or maybe a combo I've been thinking of clear turnsignals/side markers but it would contrast my fog light/tail light blackouts (not to mention my DRLs I installed probably wouldn't show up to well either way). IMO nothing looks better than compeletly black top (meaning dark tint + black sail panel & mirrors) but if i went clear/white I believe the car would look better 1 color. Anyways enough about my car, yours looks good! Is the tail panel actually painted flat black? it looks kinda glossy. I've pondered on this too.
