At the moment, my leading choice is the GTO, dependent on price, but it's not a choice you left. but if I were going to buy a car today & right now, it would be the Mustang Mach1.

Used cars/trucks wasnt an option, so I chose GM anyways because they make the used stuff I want.

I stuck with GM and bought a new 2002 Monte Carlo SS.... but more because of a lack of a modern 2-door, 4-place RWD V8 car than anyhting else.

Plus I had a nice stash of GM Card rebate and they were offering a $2500 rebate on Monte's too...

I get X-Plan now, no reason to buy a GM at all.

If I were buying a car now:

SVT Focus
Mazdaspeed Protege
Mustang GT

I'm leaning towards a two door GTP right now, or maybe *gasp* a Buick Regal GS! Used of course, I need something cheaper and a little more practical as well.

Having wanted a Corvette since I was a little kid, GM by default will be what my next car is...as soon as I finish my degree, yar har har

Corvette aside, GM hasn't done a very good job of creating brand loyalty.

I don't really care who makes it, if its fast, handles good and looks good, I want it

Nothing for 5 years. If the camaro isn't back by '07 then I'm guessing I'll go up to a vette (probably a used C6 for under 40k).

My next car will probably be an Infinity/Nissan. So many to choose from: Altima, Sentra SER, Maxima, 350Z, G-35 Coupe. When I get a new car, I'm buying a nice dailu driver.

As for a fun car, I'll probably get a 1st gen DSM to build up.

A Regal GS with the supercharged 240+ horsepower and dirt cheap insurence (it pays to buy a fast car normally bought by older people) is nothing to *gasp* at.

If my Trans Am got stolen or totaled, my first choice today would be to go buy another new one (yes they are still available from dealers!). If it happened next year I would get a 2004 GTO. If after that it would be a 2005 or 6 Camaro or a used LS1 SS Camaro
