Spec 3....so far, so good.

My car used to be an automatic, but when I put the new 383 in I knew it would head south in a hurry so I did a t56 conversion. I ordered everything I needed including a new spec flywheel and a spec stage 3 clutch kit.

I then started reading all the horror stories here and got a little nervous about it, but since I really wanted to get my car going I put it in anyway.

I now have about 1500miles on my car and so far the clutch has acted great. I thought i would have a ton of chatter ALL the time but I hardly have ANY! In first yeah the clutch engages like an on/off switch, but after some practice its actually not that bad. The only time it chatters is in reverse..and it is quite bad, but I also have some suspension issues to work out.

Anyways, just thought I would tell everyone my experiance with the spec 3 thus far.

I will never have another SPEC clutch again. EVER. Good luck with yours.

SPEC really isn't that bad..I had some problems with my Stage 3 but I believe the problem of the hub springs breaking was caused by my worn out pilot bushing.
Currently, I am running the Stage 4 and it is a GREAT clutch..feels just like the Stage 3 but doesn't have the springs on the hub..

My current clutch is Spec 3. First i wanted to buy Mcleod Street Twin but they have a long backorder. I didn't drive my car yet, I hope I will be happy with it.
