Is the switch on the console for the "turbo boost"?

Lol, no that's not the "turbo boost". That is the purge switch for the nitrous system. The actuator button is the white button on the shifter.

ive saw this cr somewhere before, i think in oak park. but anyway i was thinking of getting another camaro but this might bee what im looking for but you would have to come down on the price some. paint look real ****ty. whats been done to the car? is the actuator also used for shifting the car from park and what not or is there another button you cant see from the pix?

The paint does need a little bit of TLC. A good buff would definitely bring it back.

The engine is a 355 high nickel block
Vortec heads
Edelbrock Performer Vortec Intake
Edelbrock Performer Carburetor
Dynomax Headers
Comp Cams XE260? Cam
MSD Blaster Coil
MSD Distributor
MSD Wires
Optima Red Top
Nitrous System

The 700R4 has upgraded bands, clutch packs. The actuator does not shift the car. The shifter moves into gears just by dropping the handle into the desired gear.

The car has 4.10 posi rear
New pads rotors
New power steering pump
new alternator
New outer tie rods
Wing from an 87 GTA
Taillights from an 87 GTA

Make me an offer. I bought the car 5 years ago with a busted trans for $2200. I have since put about 4G into it and babied it. I don't think $2500 is too outrageous, but let me know what you think. There's a lot of car for the price.

2500, idk about the price. so youre telling me when you sitting in park you can just grab the shifter and snatch it in drive?!? so someone could just get in your car when its off and put it in neutral and roll if off

What price would you sell this car for. It is true that you just pull the shifter down into drive. I don't know if it goes into neutral with the car off.

Looks like a nice car for the money. I just bought another truck last month or I would be interested. I wouldn't fault the car too much because the shifter allows it to shift into gear, all you need is the cable from the steering column lock to the shifter, or buy a used shifter for $15.

Its not even anything thats broken. The shifter is a NOS brand shifter and there is no button to press to shift into gears. It makes me think that is the way it is supposed to be. The shifter was made to be a nitrous activator.

yeah i know, i was just asking cause i iu know people steal peoples cars by putting then in neutral and towing them off. and i didnt know if there was a button there that i couldnt see besides the white one.

Well I guess if they wanted to steal that car, that would be an option to do it. However, if they want the car bad enough, they are going to get it whether it has a trans button or not. Especially with those older cars and no anti-theft VATS chips, etc.
