Ive got a 2000 v6. the last time i drove it, it made a noise from the tranny/driveshaft area every time i put any more than granny on the gas pedal. it sounded almost the same as when you drive over a sewer grate and the car takes a shock from the slipping tires. It never makes the noise when the car is not in gear. It will also make the noise when i shift into a low RPM (into 1500-2k). Its a thumping noise, nothing that makes me go "ouch" but I dont like it and id like to know what to tell the warranty peeps so they will take a serious look at it.

So far, the opinion i have gotten is that its a broken tranny mount.

 

Tranny mount is what immediately came to mind for me also.

 

I was thinking tranny mount as soon as I read the thread title.
