There is also Finish Line Performance located right there in Naperville. Speed Inc. in Schaumburg as mentioned above is also a good shop, I had some minor work done there and they definitely know their stuff.

Do you like Performance Autowerks? My cousin has had his silver Eclipse their so many times because of things going wrong with it after his build. They seem to do a good job, but they quoted me $475 to put gears in, while Outlaw Performance in Joliet is charging me $290.00

As far as drag strips go, theres Rt.66 like you mentioned, but there is also one located in Byron, not sure if its just Byrong dragstrip or what its called.

Welcome to the area! Be sure to also check out the more comprehensive site for the Midwest F-Body Association over at www.MFBA.org
We have a list of some approved local sponsors over there, including Speed Inc, Finishline Performance, and others... :)

Most reputable would be Speed inc, or Ligenfelter. Past that you also have EPP (Columbia City). I would stay away from Dynotech (Ft. Wayne). No matter what you do, don't under any circumstances go to :death: Detroit Speedworks:death: (if they are even still in buisness).

WIR is a decent dragstrip too, usually not too crowded, but it's gravel pits, so GLD is way better, Howerver, it's located up in kaukauna, WI (appleton area) so it'd be a drive, but we have Real street drags, test and tunes, high school drags, gamblers races, etc.
just friday night traffic northbound is heavy, as everyone from illinois and their brother seems to go up to their cabin on 41. most people up around here go to lingenfelter, or summitracing.com for performance, machine work at a local machine shop.

Osiola should also be near you, and is a nice track. If you don't mind a bit more of a drive south, there is a decent drag strip in Muncie as well.

just a little advice, dont go to great lakes dragaway they dont maintain the track as well as they do at byron, byron is also a lot easier to get to
