Well the Indianapolis Police Department is hiring for 50 slots so I applied. I have two more classes for my aviation maintenance degree but I am not all that sure that thats is what I want to do and I have allways wanted to be a cop deep down. I am also tired of dead end jobs.
Still finishing my degree.
Hopefully I get in, next step is the writen test, hopefully it does not involve a lot of math lol

I've been applying at various departments myself in the Central Illinois area and if you haven't taken the written test yet, the mathematics are easy. If you can count to 9 on your fingers, you should be good enough to pass the test. It's about the easiest test I've ever taken.

Thats what I figured. I got the letter in the mail today asking when I want to take the entrance test and go in for tutoring for it. Toutoring is late July, test is early August.
Each is 4.5 hours long.
I figured it could not be all that hard since you only need a H.S. Diploma and I am almost done with my A.S.

Yeah but they recommend a degree if you plan to stick with it. Or Get a degree after you start.

You guys should apply out by me. I live in New Lenox and because of the rapid growth, the surrounding area(New Lenox, Frankfort, Manhattan, Mokena) departments are hiring like crazy.

Well I am finishing my degree so moving is out of the question right now.
Found out someone I know who is head of a law firm is good friends with the Cheif of Police for IPD and knows a Major and a few other important people. Told me to give him my resume in the morning and he will give it to the right people!
