Ok on an OBD II vehicle if you are using a O2 sim on the downstream O2 sensor after the converter will it pass rediness status or not. This is not on a LT1 car but can kind of relate to it im having a problem finding a cheap converter for my cousins car to pass smog i was going to put a universal cheap $60 OBD I converter on it to pass visual inspection and a O2 sim on the downstream sensor so the non OBD II converter doesnt trip the sensor and hopfully set the monitor.A new converter is $400 for the OBD II type and the car probably isnt worth that much. This is for my cousin she left her ol'man and her car is broke i feel sorry for her but not going to spend alot of money on the car or out of my pocket

Yes, it should pass just fine with o2 sims, however, you will still most likely have to go through several drive cycles before they show as ready. Scan the readyness status at Autozone for free before the inspection.

Yeah i have my own PDA that has a monitor rediness status check on it so Madwolf you say just put a sim in the downstream O2 not the upstream its only a 4cyl??It only has 2 O2 sensors one before and one after.I know the OBD II converters have something different in them than the OBD I converters which would cause the downstream O2 to trip a SES light

Yep, should work just fine.
