This is a small video I made of my Z before the supercharger goes in. If you like the video, there will definatly be another one once the supercharger is in. (Should only be one more week! ) Anyways, let me know what you guys think of the video.

Re: Last video of my car before the supercharger...

With my new application, I am guessing somewhere between 600-650 at the wheels. Like I said before, I should have the car back this time next week, and then it will probably be an additional week for me to get it to Bryan at PCM's for less to dyno tune. So, we will soon see!

Thanks for the comments. I am partial to the silver as well. You just don't see too many of them around.

More comments welcomed!

I must say generally I like the tuxedo toped Silver Z's better, but your all silver Z looks sweet! I used to have the darkouts on the headlights as well for a while. Nice ride man.

Re: Last video of my car before the supercharger...

The supercharger is a D1SC running either 12 or 15 pounds of boost (depending on the HP)

I don't have a cage yet. I probably won't get one until I am sick of getting thrown out of the track for not having one. Isn't it 11.0 or faster before they kick you out without one? That should be easily attained with 600+ at the wheels with a pair of slicks on the back I would think.

It's 11.49 and below that you need a 6 point bar. I think at the 9.99 range you have to run a full cage.

You have to be able to drive it to get below 11.49 though, so you're ok.

Was it not just changed last year from a 12.0 to an 11.0? Does anyone know more about this.

Re: Last video of my car before the supercharger...

Just got verification on what I had thought; NHRA 2006 rule book, Section1A, Frame 4; Role cage mandatory in cars running 10.99 (6.99 1/8) or quicker or any car exceeding 135 mph. In full-bodied cars with unaltered firewall, floor and body from firewall rearward, wheeltubs permitted), running between 10.00 (6.40 1/8) and 10.99 (6.99 1/8), roll bar permited in place of roll cage. In convertables running 10.99 or quicker or exceeding 135 mph, roll cage mandatory.

Looks like I shouldn't need a cage until I break into the 10's.

Re: Last video of my car before the supercharger...

*Ahem*

Section 12 General Regulations, subsection 4.10 "Roll Bars", Page 85 of the 2006 Rule book:

4:10 ROLL BARS
Mandatory in all cars running 11.49 or quicker, or per Class
Requirements.
Section 12, General Regulations, subsection 4.11 "Roll Cages", Page 86:

4:11 ROLL CAGE
Mandatory in all cars running quicker than 10.99 seconds or faster
than 135 mph, or per Class Requirements. Cars with unaltered
firewall, floor, and body (from firewall rearward, wheeltubs
permitted) running between 10.00 and 10.99, roll bar permitted in
place of roll cage, or per Class Requirements.
Or for the quickie version see Section 2, E.T. Brackets, Page 18:

ROLL BAR:
Roll bar mandatory in all cars (including T-tops) running 11.00 to
11.49 (7.00 to 7.35 eighth-mile) and in convertibles running 11.00
to 13.49 (7.00 to 8.25 eighth-mile). See General Regulations 4:10,
10:6.
ROLL CAGE:
Roll cage mandatory in cars running 10.99 or quicker or any car
exceeding 135 mph. Cars with unaltered firewall, floor, and body
(from firewall rearward, wheeltubs permitted), running between
10.00 and 10.99, roll bar permitted in place of roll cage. Cars
running 9.99 or quicker must have chassis inspected every three
years by NHRA and have a serialized sticker affixed to cage before
participation. See General Regulations 4:11.
You had the correct CAGE information, but no information for the 6 point bar posted, which you're going to need.
