5th Gen Camaro WILL star in Live Action Transformers Movie
The Chevrolet Camaro Concept will star in the forthcoming “Transformers” movie, which is due for release on July 4th, 2007 (07-04-07). The film — which was first announced last year — is a collaboration between Paramount, DreamWorks, and Hasbro. Apparently, “Bumblebee” is going to start out as a 1970s Camaro, and then be rebuilt as a 2008/2009 Camaro. Meanwhile, “Starscream” is going to be an F-22 Raptor, and “Optimus Prime” is going to be a fire truck. Judging by the license plate on the new Camaro, tuner Saleen also has involvement with the project. A Saleen Mustang police car will also appear in the film. Full image gallery after the jump…

the certainly appears to be the e-brake... intersting place to put it... seems like it is not the best place.. reminds me of the sunfire i have.. and if you do not have the you hand on the shift and go around a turn you can sometimes grab that e-brake.. I always liked it on the passenger side lol, or if anything like the old style ones were where you used your foot...

Most of the people that drift in cars like to have the e-brake on the drivers side, maybe they are looking to get attention in that crowd.

I am unbelievabally excited about this movie. Picture some character driving the Camaro (HARD), hearing those true duals roar, getting some nice interior shots of him shifting...drooool...the only gay part will be when it transforms into something, and....the whole rest of the movie probably.
If they do one of those directly out of theater questionaires where they ask people on camera how they liked it or what was their favorite part, they'll say "the cars", "the camaro...is that what it's called? I think I'm gonna go buy one when it comes out...".

Yea, we know, at least I did, should have made that clear for those that didn't notice, sorry...but still, I've just never seen that before.

anyone got a pic of the concepts interior to match with the other two..It might be a stang but they really did try to make it 5th gen inside..

Anyone think that Camaro looks alittle funny? Other than the fake rotors, higher ride height, smaller wheels.....do the proportions look different to anyone?

That link doesn't show the interior of the yellow car. I just saw one that does over at C&G from some foreign site and it looks like a GTO cluster and seat stitching.
