How do I lube the T top latches

My latches have become very hard to latch and unlatch even when not on the car? I read they need to be lubricated anyone know HOW?
Thanks 5card

Try some penetrating oil... Arf!
The kind used to free frozen nuts, then work the mechanism, a good lube for locks will contain both graphite and oil... Why, back in my day we used whale oil on all our clockworks...
