can they also change the str?

If you know what the max stall speed you can acheive or approximate cost of having it done I would appreciate it.

Get an aftermarket converter with the right stall that ya want.

The right thing to do is a nice 9.5" from Edge, Yank, Vig or a few others that build quality units.

If you insist on going the high stall 12" route then call one of those companies and talk to them about a 12" and limit it to about 2400rpms.

Yeah I would love a new yank converter....my budget won't allow it for at least a year. My converter needs to be swapped for a new stocker or have the old one restalled/new parts. I was thinking restalling it would be cheaper to restall for now.

If I were to go aftermarket can they change the str of their converters or are the set for a particular "series" of converters. I don't think the str is as flexible to change as stall speed or am I wrong?

I have a restalled stock converter that was actually out of a truck. It worked out well though, it stalls up to about 1950 when holding the brakes and flahses up to almost 3000 when I mash it off the line. It was worth it, but I'm sure a Vig or Edge converter would have been better, it just costs so much money...
