Got alot of cam surge especially in first gear the car rocks back and forth. How do you tune to correct this? Im planning on getting tuner cat soon so I would like an idea of what to look at first.

watch what rpm it occures at and pull a few degrees of timing at that RPM..

Is that all there is to it?

What is the computer showing when it surges? you know, BLM's, timing, etc.

I know my blm's are off a bit. At idle the right side will go up to 160 the left side around134. While cruising the right side is around 130 left side about 140. I havent really looked at timing(spark advance, I have a scanmaster). All the other values are within normal parameters and no knock retard for the most part.

Showing us data is always easiest.

Like Cody, I got rid of cam surge by pulling out 2-3 degrees of advance from the timing table cells the PCM was in when the surging occured. You will need a scanner for this because you need to monitor RPM and MAP. I also smoothed out the cells adjacent to the problem area. Usually a few degrees works fine.

Thanks for the insight KenP I will give it a shot...After I buy Tunercat, a lap top, cable ,Datamaster. This is getting expensive. Also the car stutters at low speed the blms are at 150 plus.I believe this is also tuning related. Opti, map, coil, and EGR were just changed. Any ideas on this guys?
