Car has a NEW 355, balanced, blueprinted perfectly. Cam bearings were put in by machine shop, all other assembly done at home by my Dad and I. Spring seat pressure is 140lbs, 340 open with a AFR hydra rev. Only bottom 1/2 of bearings worn. Has a melling high volume pump an Clevite 77 bearings. I know why I had probs with the opti shaft leaking, the cam was down and shaft was not in hole correctly. Oil pressure is 25lbs at idle and 45lbs cruise hot. Cam has no marks on it, Any ideas??

I found that the cam had .004 total runout, max allowable by service manual is .0015, also cam bearing oiling holes were not like the manual said to install, #1 at 1 and 5 o clock, 2,3,4 at 5 o clock and the rear at 12, #1 was at 3 and 6 o clock, 2,3,4 were at 6 o clock. I sent the cam back to Crower yesterday. Anyone got any ideas??

If you have a cam with that much run out and not being properly oiled due to bearing install. I would mainly get crower to try and kick some money back for engine work due to their mess up. I know they will not pay labor but bearing are not just free.
