It seems PA has the least expensive K-Members, are they any good? I am not super concerned about cosmetic stuff, do they do they install without hassle and do the job?

Thanks,

Jim

Do a search... there've been some negative reports regarding fitment

not good
i dont recommend
different people have had different problems
what they say over the phone and what they're website says doesnt always agree

the problems i had with my k-member

the motor mount plates were welded too close together by about 1 cm, my engine does not simply drop in, i have to "stretch" the cross member to make it fit

the pa racing k-member doesnt not use the stock 6 bolts to bolt to the chassis, you need shorter bolts and they only offer them in metric 8.8 class, instead of 10.9 class

i damaged the original control arm bolts so i ordered new bolts from pa racing
the bolts they gave me were too large for the holes in the k-member
the bolts in their control arm kit were too large for their own k-member

i ordered mine powdercoated black
the so called powder coating is peeling away as we speak
i presume it is simply gloss black spray paint

the spring seats in both the k-member and the control arm have 3 evenly spaced welds around the circumference, i would have prefered a continuous weld around the circumference but i suppose it will hold fine.

those are my qualms with pa racing, if you go to thirdgen.org you'll find more

if i could do it over i would have saved a little more money and bought one from basically anyone else

I bought mine when they first came out and only one other k member was available It has been in my car for 4 years without an issue. But yes some people do have issues but someone has an issue with everything that is put out. But honestly there are better ones available now. And mine will come off to get jet coated when I redo my front suspension.
