My car is lowered.. am i in trouble?

I just bought some zr1 rims 17x9.5 on the front and 17x11 in the back... i got 315s with those 11s but people are now mentioning to me... theres no possible way i can run those with my prokit... ummm please tell me i can... couldnt i just roll the fender lip? and thats it?

But i would also shave the bump stops down and ALSO there is a metal bracket in the bumpstop to that is covered in that rubber ****!! I didnt know this!! It ended up rubbing on the inside of my wheel and putting some marks on it. That and the spart right above the bumpstop where it have the ripples that part rubbed into the wheel to leaving marks.

My TA is slightly lowered but i still had to hammer in the fender wheels a little to get them to fit. Just put them on drive around the block and take one hard turn each way and then take them off again. Where the black marks from the tire are is where you need to hammer in. You also need some rubberized compound that should come in a can at autozone to repray the areas that you hammered on.

when i take it to my tire shop... i will let them have at it... im sure if i tell em what you mentioned to me they will take care of it no problems... im hoping... 1100 down the drain haha...

haha indeed. Infact i did that the 1st time and it didn't show any rubbing at all on the ripples above the bump stop. But i guess i took some corners a little to hard or the fact that maybe i was going uphill and turning at the same time made a difference but who knows.

I believe that is what mine are also. did you get these off ebay from OE WHEELS??

oh aight. Prob the same place. There are only 2 different company's on there that i always see selling them.

Do you realize there's a post in the Wheels and Tires forum FAQ bout putting 17x11's on a 4th Gen? Does not specifically cover lowered setups, but you will have to do the things that are described and pictured in the FAQ.

The 38mm offset wheels in the front will probably be a problem. The 56mm 17x9.5's are located more in the "center" of the wheel well, and will cause less problems on a lowered car. I ran 49mm offsets with a 1.8" drop in the front and the tires rubbed the inner fender liner at full lock, or if the front end dropped a lot on a bump. With 38's, it will only get worse.

i ran my 17x11's with 335's with the 50 mm offset with sportlines. yeah they hit the fenders a little bit, if they were 315's i'd have no problem. the bump stops were my problem, i had to remove them and relocate them inside the springs, and put a spacer in to make it so they tires didnt hit when going into my driveway. as long as u dont have ground effects you will be fine if your careful, buy i have ground effects so i couldnt pull straight into my drive, i had to angle it and thats when my tires hit my fenders. when one wheel goes all the way up into the fender.
