So Why isnt any aftermarket company making one of these yet? Im sure there are MANY other T56 owners out there who value there legs as much as I do and are wondering why the aftermarket hasnt stepped up and produced one yet. Does anyone have any idea what it would take to get McLeod, TCI or Lakewood to produce one? Id be one of the first in line. 4500rpm launchs with an unsprung clutch and soon to be on slicks makes me very leery every time I go to the track.

McLeod makes one for the LT1 T56 as part of their "modular" system. The only problem is that it reuired that you convert from the oddball LT1 "pullback" clutch to a conventional "pusher".

When I was still running the T56, I used a ballistic nylon blanket that was intended for automatics.

I got a USMC flack jacket I can sell you. Just duct tape it around the bellhousing:D

I have a kevlar bellhousing blanket fitted for the LT1 that I bought from Exotic Muscle about 5 years ago. Not sure if it's still available.
