well i brought it to a guy to have the motor done on the passenger side.. i get it back and the spring falls out(i heard it fall in the door when someone slammed it).. now the guy is out of town for 6 weeks and i opened it up to put the spring back in.. now, i dont know if its loose or not.. but does it need to go the whole 360* around or does my spring need to be replaced? also the with the spring in loose the window goes down very very fast and up slower then my driver side

i tried to bring the spring all the way around but i cant physically do it

i know the spring cant be too much but i dont want to get it if i dont need to.. thanks

edit: this is on the 96 formula

The only way I kow of to install the spring is to remove the window and the main rail. Once the main rail is out, you can move the regulator arm far enough to get the spring back in.

I cant believe it just fell out.

The mechanic should not of gotten near that spring. The motor swaps out without touching the spring. Removing that spring is not easy. Getting it back in will also not be easy.

Here is a picture of the inside of the door. To relieve the presure holding the spring in place, the arm it attaches to has to be moved all the way around. Doing that requires removing the main window track. Not fun.
