>I'm not sure what Procharger has to go against Vortechs YSi trim (D1 or F1)
but anyway how do they compare?
I have a T trim but want to eventually upgrade.

The T-trim can push some good power... what is your goal?
There is someone here on the forum vortech396 IIRC he did on a dyno 925flywheel with good fuel.

From a plumbing standpoint a ProCharger F1-R is equivelant. 4" inlet, 3" outlet and a 9.75" volute. The F1-R can flow 400 cfm more air so it has some 250+ hp more potential. It is also self contained. The YSi uses a 3.45:1 transmission ratio, the F1-R a 5.40:1. What this means is that for any given airflow level the ProCharger will use a larger driven blower pulley. This increases area and belt wrap helping you obtain your desired boost without slip. As an example a common crank pulley diameter for an LT1 is 7". Say you want to drive the supercharger to 50,000 rpm @ 6600 engine rpm.
YSi blower pulley diameter - 3.18"
F1R blower pulley diameter -5.00"
57% larger diameter for the F1-R at the same speed. This does wonders for belt traction and it is precisely why it was developed.
Of course the comparison may be moot as the YSi will bolt into your existing bracket.

I thought it took a different bracket to get the YSi to work....or some modifying.

Well either will probably take some work on an LT1 car. The F1R volute will not clear the block with an SC bracket.

as for my goals ... I want about 1000 horse power at the fly wheel.

YSi or F1R would be the blowers I would look at. Both are good.

>F1R is a huge head unit... I was thinking that the D1 was closer to the YSi, but I am happy to see that I was wrong ;) .
I want to upgrade my head unit from the T trim to the YSi trim.
can't wait to see what breaks next.
