How do I mount a Sirius antenna on a camaro?

Thir isnt anything metal for the magnet to grab onto? I'd like to mount it to the part of the roof behind the T tops, any idea's?

Get a fiberglass hood, then you can mount it in the engine compartment.

My Sirius Antenna sits on my shock tower in the Formula. Otherwise, wire it up to sit at the front of the dash. I HATE external antenna's.

Both work, though under the hood works better than through the glass, but you can't do it w/ a metal hood. I have it on the dash in my Avalanche and Mustang, under the hood in the Formula.

Thanks, I was also thinking of epoxying it to the rear glass a few inches from the top center.

Where do you mount the unit itself in your Formula? The suction cup is crap, it keeps falling!

I have seen alot of people put the suction cup base in the cup holder, not sure if it was designed that way but it fits into the cup holder very well. and most cars seats it right next to where you want it.

The antenna you can get the glue that fastens it to the glass or the thin 3M two sided tape. Seen a few F bodies running around like that and looks factory in that location. Just mount it low enough about an inch to let it clear the rear part of the roof of the car.

I have someone that is going to rig up the face plate for me tomorrow, the Camaro doesnt have one flat piece of dash... The suction cup has a knob that should tighten it's suction, but that is useless, it just falls off, it's not strong enough.

ive never had my suction cup fall off, and it was hard as hell to remove. The antenna, I put it right behind the back seat on the flat part of the trunk.

The suction cup is hard to put on what you gotta do is this, my brother and I both put it on the same way...
gotta pull it out of the base as far as it goes then you press very firmly to it as you hold it to the windsheild holding it in place then you clamp it down. It took me a few tries but once you get the seal to actually set its a PITA to remove. We have had our on the 'stang for about 6 months now and never fell off.

That's why i have a sirius ready head unit :) No need to worry about finding somewhere to put a faceplate/interface, it's built into the h/u. You just have to wire up an external tuner and tuck it somewhere. A little more work than a ready made unit like the starmate or calypso, but stealth once you get it done :)

It's up and running.

We velcrowed it to the dash over the CAMARO letters between the fog light switch and traction control switch, the suction cup I got sucked, the clamp part didnt do much, it wasnt very tight.

I ran the wires down through the dash and out the back, it's pretty clean looking.

We first mounted the antenna on the inside of the windshield and ran the wire through the A piller but the reception sucked so now it's stuck to the black bar between the T tops and the wire is run between the t tops Tomorrow I'll fix it up clean and hide everything.

My god people, suction cup mounts??!!! That's so freaking ghetto.

I bought the Panavise bracket. Fits perfectly next to the head unit, no wires showing anywhere, very tight and clean fit.

I run a portable head unit because I don't want to pay multiple subscriptions, and w/ 4 vehicles w/ car kits, that would get expensive.
