More OBDI and OBD2 stuff

I did a search, and just feel a little confused about all this computer stuff. My setup is a 227XR cam from cmotorsports, 1.6 roller rockers, slp headers, 3200 stall converter, 3.73 rear, and a z06 MAF. I am just wandering wandering whether to go to OBD1 or stick OBD2. I realize that OBD1 is cheaper to tune and stuff because of the software, and that there is a fix for the high stall dilemma, but what are peoples opinions to stay OBD2 or go to OBD1. I think what I am asking for are actual numbers or close to. To stay OBD2, I would order a tune from pcm4less. Now to fine tune it, I would need LT1 edit? Are there any programs that allows you to edit OBD2 and what are the costs. What is the best place to purchase LT1 Edit and what were its costs? What major problems could I run into if I were to switch to OBD1? I think these are the questions that can get me headed to the right direction. Thanks for your help in advance.

All I can help you with is to go with Tunercat over LT1edit. Its still cheaper and you arent limited to 1 car like they do with the OBD1 stuff... LT1edit is a rip.

And besides failing emission if they ever come to Kansas, the only downside to OBD1 is the high stall delima but it appears they may not be such a big problem anymore.

Brad basically covered it all. The only difference is price and the ability to pass emissions. With OBD1 if Emissions hit Ks you'll fail, but you'll probably fail with that cam anyways especially with no AIR and EGR. OBD1 is cheaper and you can have an easier time finding people to bum tuning and stuff from. OBD2 doesn't seem to have a lot of Pros in your case. I thought you bought an OBD1 PCM already, at this rate that car will never be running.:p

I was suppossed too but the guy has responded to me yet...so I am still waiting. I am looking for another OBD1 if I decide to go that way. I hadnt decided, I was going to go OBD1, but Brad mentioned to me about not shifting into second, and I was confised by that because I had never heard of that. I new the high stall problem was fixed for OBD1, so that is why I was leaning that way. I think I will go OBD1. I will get my cable from mastach with a demo of tunercat and get a tune from pcmforless for less and go from there. Thanks. My rockers and studs will be shipped on Monday. It is getting close to turning it on and then fixing the problems the occur afterwards :) . I will contact you guys to let you know.
