I have been in the middle of a project for about 2 months now and I'm almost done :D
I Installed my 42 lb Green Top SVO's last night to find out that they are short
I had 24lb SVO's (Lt.Blue Top) on for 3 yrs with no problem but these seem a little short to me.
I don't whant to blow up while I'm driving if you know what I mean  :death: :death:
What can I do to make up the difference, about 1/8 of inch?

What if I put rubber O-rings on the top & bottom of the Injector to take up the space??

well, mine are just a tad shorter than the stockers too, but after 3000 miles I have yet to have a problem. I was a bit concerned also, but, like I said, Ive ran them all last summer without a problem Mine were installed on a 95 stroked LT1, if that matters to you. They are great injectors, and I got mine for 245 shipped brand new off ebay last spring. Can't beat that price, even if it is a ford stamped part on my car... LOL at least BOSCH made them, not ford. hehe. Slap em in, you will be fine! :D

Well I am going to mill the bottom of the fuel rails.
The difference bettween the stockers and the 42lb SVO 's is .160 so I'm going to mill the back side so the rail comes down further.
The Injectors are the same leingth but the body is raised up so the seat for the bottom is higher causing them to have movment.

If you were to have a back fire though you intake it's posible for th injector to slide up causing the bottom seal to be right on the verge of being exsposed.
