I remember the 2003 Auto Show... walking around... no Camaro... for the first time at any auto show I had been to, and on top of that, for the first time in three and a half decades.

Just felt empty.

Can't imagine what that was like for him.

I've met Scott in Chicago a few months back. Great guy to talk to and definatly has a passion for the Camaro, duh!

BTW: I would PAY EXTRA for a DOD V8 engine as shown above if I could get one. Imagine scorching power when you want it, and V6 fuel economy when you don't!:bow:

Im curious as well to what the Ragtop would look like.

FWIW, they were working on a 3rd concept that was a vert for the show circuit (that was the buzz in Detroit), but I think that may be an aside to what the big news for NYIAS is.

That's good, cuz the coupe's been dumped from my desktop already.

The gears are turning ... I've "sober second thoughted" (is that a word) myself out of the Solstice and am now thinking 5th gen 'vert or an slightly pre-loved C6 'vert to replace the '99 SS 'vert.

I hope so because I think I have the Mrs. convinced that a 2009 Camaro convertible would be suitable for us. :D

I just wanted to add... the guy taking the cover off the car is... ME! :D :bow: And, yes... that thing is BAD!

It was nice seening the Camaro and the Z06 next to each other. Because hopefully in the future the Camaro will be the daily driver and the Z06 the weekend cruiser... ah yeah.. i would be in heaven. :cool:
