i do however need to buy a bigger amp because right now i am only using a 300 watt because the 600 watt i was gonna use/borrow from a friend was fried

Not bad, but not my thing...
Best-buy special? I think I saw that box there when I was there last time laughing in the car audio section.
Nothing personal, just for the $$ that you spent on that box, you could've gotten a much better setup; like a subthump well box carpeted to match the well, a pair of 10" good subs, and a decent amp to power it all.
Plus, I'm NOT a fan of bandpass boxes, they sound horrible to me, and are really only a BOOM effect.

i only paid 140 bucks for everything
most subs i've seen cost that much for one
i don't really care if its not as good as a high dollar system cause i don't really care about stereo stuff i just wanted some bass....i'm all about looks and go-fast goodies

it doesnt look like he can close the flap either. If you look where the flap and the box meet theres a lip of box sticking up higher than the flap, probably would cause the flap to get crunched when the hatch is down

In six months he will be spending $140 dollars again. That box sounds like shti and is not very reliable. Do yourself a favor and take the subs out of that box and find a sealed one that fits. It will look better and sound ten times better. that's a one note wonder box. I would have bought a bunch of used stuff before buying that. You get what you pay for.

Some people like the Duals some dont. They fluctuate in price from $120-140. I hate the amps with a passion though, so many Dual amps I've had to replace and saw go bad. The subs really arent too bad but the bass isnt deep, its like they're tuned a bit on the high side.
