I just ordered my long tubes and I am planning on doing it myself with a few other guys. what is the difficulty of this install? What all will I have to remove. I dont have the cash to have a shop do it so I figured it would be a good learning experience to do it myself? Suggestions? Thanks guys

Search dude, search. This topic's been covered at length in this forum. Be patient with it, it'll take you a long time the first time you do this. Don't cross-thread any header bolts.

it's not mechanically hard, just time consuming.

my first ever header install, by myself, in the driveway...10hrs from start to start up.

check out this header install guide (http://www.cardomain.com/ride/243722/11), it's pretty comprehensive...and the author is pretty cool too ;)

When I get the 3" Y pipe... Will it fit on the stock muffler? Isnt it 2.5"? Im not to familiar with these so what will have to be done to get it on there... will I have to get 3" all the way through and a new muffler?

its not that great performance wise to go from big to small

5 of the 7 hours I spent were on taking all the old crap out. That was the most difficult part.

Check the install guides, and good luck :thumb:
