boost/ fuel gauge

i just bought a boost and fule guage form summit, i got the mechinacl fuel gauge, is this the right choice? the eletric cost 200 bucks this one cost 43. but it also means i cant mount the gauge inside the cockpit of the vechile. i have an 1994 pontiac firebird formula with a supercharger let me know what you guys think

Yeah, mechanical will need to be mounted outside the car. I dont see any reason that it wont work though.

Are you saying that the guage is fuel and boost all in one?

To mount the fuel pressure gauge in the passenger compartment, you can do it legally by adding a "high pressure isolator" at the firewall. Fuel only goes as far as the isolator, then the line inside the passenger compartment is filled with glycol. By the time you buy the isolator and the braided SS lines to connect it all up, it will cost you the same amount as the intrinsically safe electronic guage.

And from personal experience, the "isolators" are not reliable, and keeping the glycol full so the pressure is accurate is an almost impossible job. I would not recommend one.
