These are the headers I want to get for my Camaro. I would like some opinions quick because I want to get them ordered ASAP. THanks guys

Pacesetter headers coated by Jet-Hot, looks pretty good to me.

They will rust quickly and require much more maintenance. Coated are the way to go. Unless you have alot of cash, then you could get stainless.

if you have a little extra cash to play with i would go for the Jet-Hot headers..They based there design off Hookers compitition long tudes and jet-hoted them...I've never herd of any fitment isssues or any complaints about hookers (ha that sounds funny) but anyway if jet-hot made there headers from hookers design i'd say its your best bet

Money plays a big factor with me because I am 16 and don't have a job. I was thinking about getting uncoated ones so i have some extra cash for a Y pipe... Do any of you all have any for sell?

well if your gonna buy uncoated your gonna have to spend the money on headers all over again in a few years especialy if you live in an area where they salt in the winter...uncoated will rot...save your salf agervation do it right the first time, if you cant afford it right now i'd wait and save up..i had uncoated pacesetter before i learned my lesson

If that's the only way you can do it- go for it. Headers don't "rot" overnight. I've ran uncoated headers on small block chevys for years and they didn't rust through. If this was such a problem, no one would buy uncoated headers and you would be seeing posts on how to fix rust holes in primary tubes.

Wheather an uncoated header rusts out quickly depends on where you live. Living on the gulf coast in Houston and in OK, my 70 SS had uncoated hookers that lasted for 11 years that I owned the car and they were several years old when I bought the car.

My 00 now has uncoated Macs that were at least a year old when I got them and I've owned them almost 2 years. Thats at least 3 years of daily driving and they still look good.

What most people do not understand is that a coat of rust creates a barrier that slows down the oxidation process on the metal under it. Its like a zinc coating aka galvanizing or aluminized coating. It gets a white rust (oxidized zinc or aluminum) layer that protects the steel underneath.

Another misconception. Stainless WILL and CAN RUST. Heat from the exhaust and salt from salted roads up north will rust stainless out. Coated headers will chip relatively easily and rust also. Not to mention most are not coated inside so they can rust there too in high humidity areas. The coating is a THERMAL barrier NOT a rust preventative.

The price of coated headers is 1.5 times a set of uncoated. If I get 10 years use out of the uncoated headers, I'm $ ahead seeing how most people sell their cars in under 5 years.

The Jet Hots fit great I just put a set on for a friend.

I had coated TPIS and the coating didn't last for more then a year. I don't drive the car in the winter much it isn't a daily but I do take it out once and awhile. I have since put on Kooks and when I had some work done to the car I had them coated as the underhood temps seemed high.
