Christmas Race!!!!

Hey guys me and a few guys have come up with an idea to help out the less fortunate kids in our area. I have talked to Paradise Drag Strip and they have agreed to let us rent the strip the 2nd sat in Dec.. The race will be a show and go. No tree or timing lights. Just a flag starter. The entry fee will be two unwrapped toys. (one for a boy & one for a girl) It will be open to everyone. Domestics and imports. We can have a few grudge races.LOL Anyway anyone wanting to help or participate email me. The cost of the track will be $700 dollars. I will be coming to the local shops for donations. And your banners will be displayed at the track and you will be mentioned in the local papers. I am going to try to get us an article in a car mag. So get to shining and tuning its not far off. Again this is open to everyone. You must wear a helmet also. (track rules) The track is in Calhoun GA.

To help out with the track cost email me with your pledge. I will start it off with $100. So we need $600 now. Thanks guys I know you will not let the kids down.

After talking with Big Dog I think we will charge a $5. gate fee to cover trophies and plaques. We also need people to volunter to work conssesions. Come on guys step up for a good cause!

I'll try to get some of my friends from Cleveland to head down. Another guy and I will atleast come to watch. I haven't talked to any of them that sit out on the weekends in a while so if any of you guys are out in Cleveland you might mention it to some of them. I should have the 383 on the road by then, but I think I'll keep it off the track b/c I will be limping around on a stock clutch and rear end for a little while. I'm tired of it sitting and can't afford to break anything right now.

I might try to come and watch.. Heck, even might race. I'll bring toys either way!
Good idea for the christmas season too. Cuz you know how much money people put into their cars, sometimes not thinking about others that can't even afford a car to drive, much less, give their kid a christmas present. I've personnally done that myself.. But this is a really good idea, so I plan on being there!
If money situation is low for the rent on the track.. someone e-mail me and I might be able to give a little. Keeping the car on the road and paying for college isn't cheap :D

:D Are there any rules for the Christmas race? I would love to come and beat up on some Mustangs.

It is a street car, But I dont drive it alot.It stays broke most of the time.I have seen you guys out at Checkers before.

:) NOS86, Well If I tell you how it runs, That would take all the fun out of it. I can tell you it is not a fiberglass tube chassis race car.It not tubed, and it is street legal. It may be a little loud with the flowmaster mufflers.It runs OK for a 454 with nitrous.

Hell yeah, im up for it!!!! Thats what im talkin about. Im not skeered of a big block chevrolet....thats what Ford built the 302 for!!!!:D

Cloer, You can still pick on The rat motor, I am not making Pre-excuses. I cant deny the fact that I may have some breakage,The last time my rat snacked on a little 302, It got a bad fever. But after we removed a couple of the 302's pistons from the water passages it was ok & ready to snack on another one. :D (notice I said SNACK hehe.):D see ya at the track?:)

my little 302 is really a 0.030 over 302 which is a 306 ! it's only 266ci's away .

Yeah, ive thought about it, but seeing how I destroyed my last car street racing, and im threatened with a divorce every time I mention it (cause she took care of me when I was all busted up), I think I wont be bringin anything to checkers in the near future.:) But I still come and hang out every now and then.

Cloer, I am going to try to bring aleast three cars, I dont mind the smack talk.That is what puts the fun in the street racing,as long as nobody gets mad and has fun with it. Ive noticed that tring to run the limited street class it gets pretty serious sometime and when it does its not fun anymore.Dont stop the smack talk, you and Nos86 have had me on my computer more here lately, just to see what else ya'll come up with,and I have had alot of fun with it. NOS/86 and I arent the kind to get mad about anything. But I do know what you mean about limited street, some of those guys get right down redneck! I want to try to run limited street some this year, but I dont know if I can afford the cost of maintaining the engine due to the amounts of nitrous Ill have to run through it to be competitive. But on another note, Ill be waiting for you at paradise!!! No excuses, no anger, just a whole lotta ass smokin!:D

Nos86, Yes I talked to him ,I am printing off some stuff he sent me, And I am getting ready to go see a few people about sponsering some trophys. Cannons said they would sponser a trophy or two and they are bringing their cars also. I am on my way there now, and then to race engine & Howards. See ya.

I also Talked with Karen from the Brainerd Track and she may give us some Tee shirts to give away.
