Is this B4C for real?

This car is on eBay and is located near me. I am curious regarding the claim of the B4C RPO code. I am no expert by any means, but I didn't expect to see a Z28 badge on a B4C car. Yes or no??

Re: Is this B4C for real?

Someone could put a Z28 badge there... Or may be it's not a B4C. Anyway, there isn't much difference, if any (bigger alt?)

This one only has the rear badge -- none on the sides. So maybe it is legitiment. The description is a little over the top, to say the least. The car looks to be in good shape, though. Worst thing is, trying to convince my wife we *need* another Z

Wrong-

No badges period. There is no Z28 references anywhere in the RPO codes.

The badge was added on if anything.

Sigh...... A B4C is just like a regular Z28 except for the badges. The ONLY reason there is a B4C rpo is because it enabled them to be sold cheaper to law enforcement agencies. No extra performance, no magical suspension mods, nothing. In general, a regular Z28 is a much better buy than a B4C.

Re: Is this B4C for real?

I have a B4C, and there is not much difference. I believe all were hardtops, no badging, transmission dipstick is locking and in the shape of an L, little larger alt, cloth interior, power windows mirrors and locks, a little stiffer springs, and the occasional abuse of PD's.... Also, in the glovebox the B4C rpo code is present. Some versions of the B4C's are quite rare, like in 1994, there were only 136 or so B4C's made in an hardtop with an A4

"THE INTERIOR IS IN A-1 CONDITION"

A-1 condition? What does that mean, somebody spilled steak sauce on the seats?

If he'd show pics of the RPO sticker, then maybe. Besides, what would the Postal Service be doing with a B4C?

Re: Is this B4C for real?

Hmmm, ran it through the GM vehicle inquiry system and got nothing back on who the vehicle was sold to. It looks like the only thing the car ever went in for on warranty was a bad AIR pump. He may be telling the truth about it. A car used by the cops would be in for a lot more stuff than that.
